In the city of Istanbul, the ceremony for presenting the TURKSOY International Theatre Awards was held in a solemn manner. At this prestigious international event, organized for the eleventh time, leading creative figures working in the theatre sphere of the organization’s member states were awarded in various nominations based on the results of 2025.
The pleasing news is that the actress of the Uzbek National Academic Drama Theatre, Honoured Artist of Uzbekistan Lola Eltoeva won the international award in the “Best theatre actress” nomination.
This ceremony is held every year within the framework of the International Anatolian Theatre Awards, aiming to strengthen creative cooperation among theatre communities of Turkic states, promote the common cultural heritage, and contribute to the development of stage art.
Also, representatives of other countries were recognized in various fields. In particular, from Kazakhstan Erenbak Toikenov was awarded in the “Best theatre director” nomination, from Kyrgyzstan Sadir Niyazaqunov in the “Best stage designer” nomination, from Azerbaijan Ali Emirli in the “Best playwright” nomination, and from Turkmenistan Batir Chariev in the “Best theatre actor” nomination.
