Ramadan is approaching in our country: calendar, suhoor and iftar prayers

In Uzbekistan, Ramadan 2026 is expected to arrive on Thursday, February 19th. It is said that this issue was discussed at the fatwa meeting under the Organization of Turkic States in Samarkand and mentioned as a general agreement.
In short, the proposed calendar is as follows:
- Ramadan begins: February 19
- Eid al-Fitr: March 20, Friday
- Duration: 29 or 30 days (depending on the moon appearance)
There's an important nuance here: saying Ramadan date is "expected" doesn't mean everything is 100% certain yet. Since there are aspects related to the appearance of the moon, usually the exact calendar and times are officially announced on the eve of Ramadan. Therefore, for now, it is better to consider this information as a roadmap.
The most interesting part for fans is the matter of suhoor and iftar. In the first days of Ramadan, the time in Tashkent can be approximately as follows (it varies slightly depending on the regions, so we will rely on the official schedule later):

Suhoor (fasting) prayer
"Navaytu an asuuma sovma shahar ramazona minal-fajri ilal-maghribi, xolisan lillahi ta'aalaa. Allahu akbar."
Meaning: I intend to fast during Ramadan from dawn until sunset sincerely for Allah the Almighty. Allahu akbar
Iftar prayer
"Allohumma laka sumtu va bika aamantu va 'alayka tavakkaltu va 'alaa rizqika aftortu, fağfirlii yaa G'offaru maa qoddamtu va maa axxortu, birohmatika yaa arhamar-Rohimiyn."
Meaning: "O Allah, I fasted for You. I believe in You and rely on You. I broke my fast with the sustenance you gave me. O Forgiver of sins, forgive my past and future sins.
Ramadan is not just a test of hunger, but also a month of "correct regulation." If you make a simple plan right now, you'll be grateful to yourself for the next week: adjusting your sleep earlier, reducing your coffee, and properly allocating your energy for the after-morning hours. The rest is patience, prayer, and mood.
The most correct way: as soon as the official calendar is released (especially by regions), determine the time of your place of residence. Then there will be no surprises like "I've been saying 05:40, but it's 05:36 in the neighborhood."
