The government of Uzbekistan has approved regulations for providing paid services in medical institutions. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Justice.
If a patient seeks planned medical assistance without a referral and at their own initiative, the services will be provided on a paid basis. In this case, the patient is required to register at the medical institution.
All services not included in the free guaranteed package at polyclinics are considered additional and require payment. Patients will only be admitted to the medical institution after full prepayment has been made.
After that, the patient will be directed to a doctor. It should be noted that the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, had previously proposed revising the costs of medical services in the country's centers.
The head of state also suggested channeling health insurance funds to private clinics if they provide higher quality and more affordable services. Read “Zamin” on Telegram!
