Committee for Urbanization and Housing Market Development to Be Established


Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved a decision to establish the National Committee for the Stable Development of Urbanization and the Housing Market. The new organization will be responsible for coordinating policies in urban planning and housing construction.

The committee will oversee the implementation of new residential and non-residential complexes in Tashkent, Nukus, and regional centers. It will also review and approve all project documents related to building multi-story housing units in the "New Uzbekistan" neighborhoods. The organization will employ 50 staff members and may recruit both local and foreign specialists.

Its funding will be provided from the state budget. The committee will be located at 1a Zulfiya Khonim Street, Tashkent.

Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov will oversee the execution of the decision.
