The number of foreigners coming to Uzbekistan for treatment is rising

The National Statistics Committee released new data on the number of foreign citizens who visited Uzbekistan for medical treatment in January–November 2025. During the reporting period, 80,653 foreigners came to the country to use medical services.
According to the statistics, most visitors to Uzbekistan came from neighboring countries. In particular, 55,851 arrived from Tajikistan, 14,296 from Kyrgyzstan, and 7,633 from Kazakhstan. This is undoubtedly linked to strong development in the country’s healthcare services and the growing number of private clinics.
In addition, 1,820 people came from Russia, 678 from Afghanistan, and 219 from Turkmenistan to receive treatment in Uzbekistan. One notable result is the increasing number of visitors seeking medical services from countries such as Turkey, the United States, China, and Azerbaijan as well.
The number of foreigners arriving from other countries totaled 69. Experts note that this growth primarily reflects the expansion of Uzbekistan’s medical services market and local clinics’ efforts to meet international standards. Increased engagement with neighboring countries may also influence these figures.
Overall, demand for medical services in Uzbekistan is increasing, strengthening the country’s position in global medical tourism.
