A new procedure for maternity benefits has been established

A new procedure for calculating maternity benefits has been introduced in Uzbekistan. Now, the amount of the benefit is determined depending on the length of insurance and new coefficients are applied.

According to the new procedure, if the insurance history is:

75 percent of the average salary for 10-24 months;

25-60 months, 85 percent;

If 61 months or more, 100% is calculated.

The responsible agency emphasized that these changes do not contradict the Labor Code. Because the minimum amount of the pension is set at at least 75 percent of the average salary.
