Chelsea sell midfielder as Castaldyne joins Middlesbrough

London club Chelsea have parted ways with midfielder Leo Castaldyne, who will continue his career at another English side. Middlesbrough’s press service officially announced the signing of the 20-year-old. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .

Castaldyne signed a long-term 4.5-year contract with Middlesbrough. Chelsea received around £1 million for the transfer.

In the first part of the 2025/2026 season, the midfielder played for Huddersfield on loan. Leo made 23 appearances and scored 10 goals.

This season, Middlesbrough are fighting for promotion to the Premier League. After 26 Championship rounds, the team sit second in the table.
