
The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, has signed a decree launching the "Eliminating Bureaucracy – 2030" program. According to the Ministry of Justice, the program is scheduled to commence at the beginning of the next year.
The program aims to improve citizens' access to public services. Additionally, it seeks to reduce the risk of abuses by eliminating unnecessary regulations and enhancing process transparency.
The coordination of the "Eliminating Bureaucracy – 2030" program has been assigned to a project office established under the Agency for Strategic Development and Reforms. Proposals for combating bureaucracy will be developed and reviewed through the "Zero Bureaucracy" platform.
For context, the head of state noted that digitalization of documents is saving the country 24 billion soums annually. It is planned to increase the number of public services to 1,500 over the next five years.
