New record: 11.7 million tourists visited Uzbekistan in 2025

2025 was a real "peak" for tourism in Uzbekistan: 11.7 million foreign citizens visited our country for tourism purposes. According to preliminary data from the National Statistical Committee, this result is noteworthy with its record level and clearly demonstrates the consistent growth of international interest in Uzbekistan.
Interestingly, the growth rate is also serious: compared to 2024, the flow of tourists increased by 3.7 million people. That is, the total growth was equal to 46.8 percent. These figures are not accidental - it would be correct to say that they are the result of systematic work done over the years.
Experts attribute this significant increase to several important factors:
- expansion and improvement of tourism infrastructure;
- easing (liberalization) of visa procedures;
- increasing the number and routes of international flights;
- Active promotion of Uzbekistan's tourism opportunities abroad.
That is, it's not just about "more advertising" - overall comfort, ease of entry and exit, improved flights and service have had a real impact.
The top 10 countries in terms of the number of tourists visiting Uzbekistan in 2025:
1. Kyrgyzstan - 3.3 million
2. Tajikistan - 2.7 million.
3. Kazakhstan - 2.7 million
4. Russia - 984.4 thousand.
5. Afghanistan - 476.7 thousand.
6. Turkmenistan - 370 thousand.
7. China - 278.9 thousand.
8. Turkey - 174.9 thousand.
9. India - 80.8 thousand.
10. Republic of Korea - 46.3 thousand
As can be seen from the list, neighboring countries traditionally maintain leadership. At the same time, there is interest from more distant markets, such as China, Turkey, India, and the Republic of Korea, which indicates the expansion of Uzbekistan's influence on the tourism map.
In conclusion, the results of 2025 are not just simple statistics, but a signal that the established policy and practical work are "working." Now the main task is not to simply repeat the record, but to further improve the quality and strengthen the image of Uzbekistan, to which tourists will not come, but will come again and again.
