42 energy projects launched in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev ceremonially launched 42 energy projects and initiated the construction of 21 enterprises. This was reported by the presidential press service.

“All the projects being launched today will ensure economic growth and open new opportunities for future generations,” the head of state said. Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of the energy facilities, the President highlighted the construction of solar power plants with a combined capacity of 107 MW, utilizing Chinese expertise.

This initiative will enable families in need to access “green” energy, and they will also have the opportunity to sell surplus electricity. This year, local entrepreneurs built micro-hydropower stations with a total capacity of 40 MW, producing 120 million kWh of electricity.

In 2026, stations with higher capacity are planned to be launched, which will provide electricity to 80,000 households.
