According to the presidential decree, from May 1, 2026, the Department of Migration and Personalization under the Ministry of Internal Affairs will have the right to extend the visa for foreign citizens entering with an electronic visa once, for up to 30 days. It was also decided to simplify and digitize visa extension and registration procedures.
According to the decree, the authority to issue work permits to foreign citizens will also be transferred to this department. It was noted that these changes are aimed at accelerating document processing and managing services through a unified system.
According to another news, from September 1, 2026, students will be registered with accommodation in the dormitory. In addition, from February 1, 2026, citizens receiving ID cards will be provided with a digital signature (ESP) free of charge.
