Due to expected precipitation and changes in air temperature from April 4 to 8 of this year, there is a risk of avalanches in the mountainous regions of the republic – at altitudes above 2000 meters above sea level. This was announced by Uzhydromet through an urgent warning.
In particular, a high level of risk is expected in the following areas:
- Kashkadarya region – Kitab and Shahrisabz districts;
- Surkhandarya region – Baysun, Sariosiyo and Uzun districts;
- Samarkand region – Samarkand and Urgut districts;
- Jizzakh region – Bakhmal and Zomin districts;
- Tashkent region – Bostanlik, Parkent and Ohangaron districts (Chatkal mountain range);
- Namangan region – Pop district.
Specialists urge residents of mountainous areas, отдыхающих and drivers traveling in these regions to take precautionary measures.
Especially during sharp weather changes, it is recommended to follow safety rules, avoid unnecessary risks, and not ignore official warnings.
