The US presidential administration is considering expelling Canada from the Five Eyes (FVEY) alliance. The Financial Times reported this, citing its sources.

The proposal to "expell the northern neighbor" came from Donald Trump's senior trade adviser Peter Navarro. The publication wrote that Washington could put pressure on Canada in this way. So far, the US president's reaction to the proposal is ambiguous, and the idea is being discussed at the level of officials.
