Decline in Interest in American Brands Linked to U.S. Reputation

Global consumers’ interest in American brands is gradually decreasing. This was stated by McDonald’s CEO Chris Kempczinski in an interview with CNBC.

According to him, the main reason for this trend is the fading of the positive perception of the United States around the world.

“We conducted four global surveys. In them we asked: ‘How do you evaluate America as a country? What is your attitude toward American brands? What do you think of McDonald’s?’ As a result, we noticed that the positive aura surrounding America has somewhat diminished,” he said.

At the same time, Kempczinski added that the research did not have a serious impact on attitudes toward the McDonald’s brand.
