Logistics disrupted in the Middle East - Bloomberg

Serious disruptions are observed in the international logistics system following the acute security situation in the Middle East region. This was reported by Bloomberg.

According to the source, one of the largest container terminals of strategic importance for the region - the port of Jebel Ali - has been temporarily suspended. It is said that this decision was made against the backdrop of threats and situations related to transport security in the region.

At the same time, MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, one of the world's largest shipping companies, announced the complete cessation of cargo reservations for the Middle East route.

In addition, major international logistics operators A.P. Moller-Maersk and Hapag-Lloyd temporarily suspended all cargo flights through the Strait of Hormuz.

Experts emphasize that such disruptions in logistics chains pose a significant threat to large business centers relying on trade turnover, international transport, tourism, and finance. This situation is assessed as a serious economic blow, especially for Dubai, which is considered one of the main economic and financial centers of the region.

It is noted that the Middle East region was previously considered a relatively safe and stable space for international cargo transportation and transit. But against the backdrop of the current tense situation, the fate of the main maritime and logistics corridors passing through the region remains uncertain.
