On October 27, at 22:48 local time (0:48 Tashkent time), a 6.1 magnitude earthquake occurred in the Sındırgı region of Turkey. This was reported by the Emergency Situations Agency (AFAD).

The epicenter of the earthquake was approximately 6 km deep, and the tremors were also felt in neighboring provinces. According to Turkey's Minister of Internal Affairs, Ali Yerlikaya, on his NSosyal platform, three buildings and one shop collapsed as a result of the earthquake.

Those inside were successfully evacuated. According to Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu, 19 people were injured — mainly due to panic and jumping out of windows during the quake.
