Russia’s major automobile manufacturer, AvtoVAZ, has expressed its readiness to supply Lada cars for the taxi service project potentially to be launched by Wildberries. This information was shared by the company’s press service with TASS news agency.
Previously, it was reported that Wildberries is exploring the possibility of entering the Russian taxi market starting from 2026. At present, this service is already operational in Uzbekistan, providing services to its customers.
AvtoVAZ representatives noted that the company positively evaluates Wildberries' plans to enter the taxi market and is prepared to supply locally manufactured Lada vehicles if needed. They emphasized that such collaboration would contribute to increasing the share of the national brand in the domestic market.
Moreover, according to experts, the entry of a new player into the taxi market will enhance competition. This, in turn, may lead to more transparent and fair pricing, improved service quality, and better conditions for passengers.
In conclusion, Wildberries’ entry into the taxi sector and potential partnership with AvtoVAZ signal the beginning of a new chapter in Russia’s taxi market.
