Head and severed legs of Uzbek woman found near garbage dump in Istanbul

On January 24, a woman's body wrapped in a sheet was found in one of the garbage containers on Kuyuulibog Street in Istanbul's Şişli district. According to initial reports, the find was spotted by a person sorting waste in the neighborhood and immediately reported it to the police. The area was then cordoned off and evidence was collected.
According to reports, the suitcase containing the woman's head and severed legs was later found in another nearby garbage dump. Law enforcement agencies have called in forensic teams to investigate the incident and sent the body for a forensic examination. The Istanbul prosecutor's office has reportedly opened a criminal case in the case.
During the investigation, the deceased was identified as 37-year-old Uzbek citizen Durdona Hakimova. Authorities said all possible versions are being considered and the case is under public scrutiny. It is also reported that two Uzbek suspects were detained while trying to leave for Georgia through the airport.
