Connection Between Uzbek Student and MIT Professor's Death Under Investigation in US

The connection between an Uzbek student and an MIT professor's death is being investigated in the US

Law enforcement authorities in the United States are investigating whether the suspect in the killing of Muhammadaziz Umurzakov, a student from Uzbekistan, may also be connected to the death of MIT professor Nuno Loureiro. This was reported by ABC, citing sources within law enforcement agencies.

The government has identified Claudio Manuel Neves Valente as the suspect. He was previously implicated in a shooting incident on the campus of Brown University.

According to investigators, Valente was found dead in New Hampshire, with indications pointing to suicide. The killing of MIT professor Nuno Loureiro occurred two days after the university shooting.

Investigators are probing the potential link between these crimes. It has been revealed that Valente was a former graduate student at Brown University.

He had been admitted to the program in 2000 but was expelled a few years later. His identity was confirmed through surveillance camera footage and car rental records.

Authorities have not commented on the suspect's motives or the extent of his involvement in each incident. It is worth noting that Muhammadaziz Umurzakov was killed on Sunday, December 14. An armed individual opened fire in an engineering building while an exam was in progress.
