According to updated information from journalist Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the parties have currently been suspended. The reason for this is that Milan's management has focused all their attention on securing an agreement to bring West Ham striker Niklas Füllkrug into the squad.
The German footballer remains the top priority for the club, with plans to finalize the transfer as early as the beginning of January. Earlier reports had suggested that Mauro Icardi was interested in returning to Serie A.
