Weekly dynamics
Throughout the week, the dollar-to-soum exchange rate experienced certain fluctuations. In the first half of the week, a noticeable decline was observed:
Monday: –39.24 soums
Tuesday: –37.58 soums
Wednesday: +15.78 soums
This downward trend may have been related to global market dynamics, changes in import-export operations, and shifts in domestic demand.
In the second half of the week, the rate began to rise:
Thursday: +33.35 soums
Friday: +51.35 soums
As a result, the overall weekly change of the US dollar was unfavorable for the national currency, ending with an increase of 23.66 soums.
The Central Bank forms exchange rates based on market mechanisms and strives to maintain stability in economic processes. Such fluctuations in the exchange rate are considered indicators of the global economic environment, trade volumes, and the level of domestic economic activity.
