On December 7, the opening ceremony of the newly renovated "Hazorasp" railway station was held in Hazorasp district of the Khorezm region. The event was attended by representatives of the local government, transportation industry officials, representatives of "Uzbekistan Railways" JSC, and media personnel.
The event was organized in celebration of the 33rd anniversary of the adoption of the Constitution of Uzbekistan and the upcoming New Year. During the ceremony, it was noted that after the reconstruction, the station building has been transformed into a modern facility, providing convenience for passengers.
In the renovation process, the main part of the station was completely refurbished. The interior rooms were re-equipped, the heating system was replaced, a new lighting system was installed, and thermal insulation and glazing works were carried out on the building.
Additionally, furniture and equipment were renewed. Green spaces, flower gardens, and terraces were created for passengers and visitors.
A separate entrance lane was established for VIP clients and staff. Moreover, comfortable service facilities for international tourists were arranged.
After the reconstruction, the station now has the capacity to serve 200 passengers per hour and up to 1,000 people during peak periods.
