The mandatory cheerfulness at corporate events in Uzbekistan is considered the biggest inconvenience. This was revealed through a survey conducted by hh.uz, which involved over 300 job seekers and 150 employers.
According to the survey results, 45 percent of participants expressed their dislike for enforced cheerfulness, while 39 percent said they were fatigued by prolonged toasts. Many also indicated that the overly uninhibited behavior of colleagues often ruined the festive atmosphere.
At the same time, employees and employers agreed on one point: the best corporate event is an informal gathering. Forty-two percent of employers and 49 percent of job seekers deemed an atmosphere of equality to be important.
Good music, easy conversations, and a natural team environment remain the key factors for a successful event. For most, a corporate gathering is an opportunity to communicate and relax with colleagues.
Between 38 and 41 percent of respondents see these events as a way to spend time outside the office, while approximately 30 percent consider them an activity that fosters team spirit. However, a quarter of respondents still view corporate events as merely a formality.
