How many babies were born in Uzbekistan on the first day of the New Year

As of 5:00 PM on January 1, 2026, a total of 1,094 babies were born across Uzbekistan. Of them, 539 were boys and 555 were girls.

By region, the highest number of births was recorded in Fergana Region with 138 babies. It was followed by Surkhandarya Region with 135, Samarkand Region with 125, Kashkadarya Region with 121, and Namangan Region with 110.

The lowest number of births was observed in Syrdarya Region, where 19 babies were born. In addition, 17 sets of twins were registered nationwide, with a total of 37 children born.

To provide medical services to the population during the holidays, 4,913 healthcare workers are on duty across the country.
