In the Jizzakh region, a conflict broke out between two acquaintances who worked together at a construction site after consuming alcohol, leading to serious consequences. The incident occurred on July 13, 2025, at around 5:00 p.m. in the Sharaf Rashidov district of the Jizzakh region.
According to court materials, a man born in 1980 in the Syrdarya region drank alcohol with his acquaintance. Afterwards, a disagreement arose between them, which escalated into a conflict. During the quarrel, he stabbed his acquaintance in the stomach and chest with a kitchen knife, intentionally causing serious bodily injury.
The case was heard at the Zardor District Criminal Court of the Jizzakh region. The defendant pleaded guilty, expressed remorse, and asked for a lighter sentence.
After examining the testimonies of the victim and witnesses, as well as the case materials, the court took into account that the defendant has four children and works as a seasonal laborer. As a result, he was sentenced to three years of imprisonment to be served in a general-regime correctional colony.
