A rare but alarming medical case was recorded in Samarkand. Approximately 200 grams of nails and screws were removed from the abdominal cavity of a 29-year-old man. This was reported by the Samarkand branch of the Republican Scientific Center of Emergency Medical Care.
According to reports, the 29-year-old patient A.E. was admitted to the medical facility with severe abdominal pain. Diagnostic procedures and laboratory examinations conducted in the emergency department revealed a large number of foreign objects in his gastrointestinal system. Preliminary conclusions indicated that these metal items posed a serious threat to the patient’s life.
In order to save the patient in time, doctors urgently proceeded with surgical intervention. During the operation, performed using laparotomy and gastrostomy methods, nails, screws, and other metal objects were removed from the abdominal cavity.
At present, the patient’s condition is described as satisfactory. He continues to receive treatment under medical supervision.
According to the medical institution, the man was under severe stress and may have swallowed these objects after losing control over his actions. Specialists emphasize that such cases can result from intense psychological pressure and serious emotional distress, urging people not to ignore signs of stress.
