Did a 15-year-old really get married in Samarkand?

Videos showing a 15-year-old boy getting married have spread widely on social media. This situation was investigated by the Ministry of Internal Affairs at the request of the Children's Ombudsman.

It was established that the video was posted on social media by a resident of the Pastdargom district of the Samarkand region, N.A., born in 1983. The first part of the video was filmed in November 2025 at the "Obid Nur" wedding hall, while the remaining frames were filmed at another venue - the "Shomgul" wedding hall.

N.A. edited videos taken in two places, presented them as one wedding, and simply announced it as a "play" to increase the number of subscribers. Currently, the Pastdargom District Department of Internal Affairs is conducting a pre-trial investigation into the incident.
