Egyptian strawberries to appear on shelves in Uzbekistan stores

Strawberries grown in Egypt will start being supplied to Uzbekistan. This was reported by kursiv.uz citing the Sada El-Balad publication. reports .

It is reported that Tashkent and Cairo have agreed on all product safety requirements. Egypt’s Minister of Agriculture Alaa Farouk noted that entering a new market confirms the high quality of local products.

Last year, Egypt expanded the geography of its strawberry exports, also entering the markets of Mexico and the Philippines. By the end of 2025, the country shipped more than 62 thousand tons of strawberries abroad, setting a historic record.

Egyptian producers now plan to strengthen their position in Central Asia.
