In Qarshi, 43 new buses were put into service on four routes

Forty-three new buses purchased by private entrepreneurs for $3.3 million were delivered to Qarshi. To complete the deal, business representatives attracted investments and bank loans. The fleet was replenished with 37 Yutong and 6 Asiastar buses, the Qarshi khokimiyat press service reported.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the new buses were allocated across four routes in line with the city’s main transport plan. Following the launch of the new vehicles, the number of routes operating under the gross-contract system reached 12, with a total of 139 buses. The network’s capacity allows it to serve up to 150,000 passengers per day.

The buses are equipped with air-conditioning and heating systems, facilities adapted for people with disabilities, an electronic payment system, and voice announcement modules. The khokimiyat noted that entrepreneurs plan to purchase another 100 buses from China during the current year. This equipment will be deployed on an additional nine routes, which will also be transferred to the gross-contract system.

It is also planned to expand Qarshi’s public transport fleet with another 100 China-made buses by the end of 2026.
