However, before the break, Chris Führich equalized with a long-range shot. In the 79th minute, thanks to Stuttgart goalkeeper Alexander Nübel's accurate pass, Deniz Undav scored the winning goal for his team – 2:1.
In this way, Stuttgart recorded its fifth consecutive victory and climbed into the top three in the league table with 18 points. Mainz, on the other hand, remains at the bottom of the table with only 4 points.
