Uzbekistan has taken an important step towards the further active development of international relations and increasing the flow of tourists and investors to the country. With the new decree, the government introduced extensive reforms in visa policy, allowing visa-free entry for citizens of certain countries.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution of October 21, 2025, citizens of Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan will now have the right to enter Uzbekistan visa-free and stay in the country for up to 30 days. This decision is considered an important step towards strengthening economic, cultural, and diplomatic ties with the countries of the Persian Gulf.
According to official data, this initiative will not only give new impetus to the tourism sector, but will also serve to expand mutual trade, investment, and cultural cooperation. According to experts, the increase in the number of tourists from the Persian Gulf countries will have a positive impact on the local economy, especially in the hotel, transport, and service sectors.
At the same time, conveniences have been expanded for Chinese citizens - their visa-free stay has been extended to 30 days. For citizens of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, the previous seven-day visa-free regime remains in effect.
In addition, the government has significantly simplified the visa processing for businessmen. Now citizens of such developed countries as Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Great Britain, Spain, Belgium, Czech Republic, Latvia, Switzerland, Malaysia, and Japan will be able to obtain a business visa within two working days.
Also, for citizens of the United Arab Emirates, Iran, and Pakistan, this process will last up to three working days. If an additional examination is required, the period can be extended up to 10 days.
Experts emphasize that this decision will play an important role in further expanding international cooperation, improving the business environment, and increasing the country's investment attractiveness. Through these changes, Uzbekistan has taken another important step towards becoming one of the most open and investment-friendly countries in the region.
According to experts, the liberalization of the visa regime will strengthen the country's international image and create a basis for attracting many large investors, companies, and tourists in the future. Thus, this decision will strengthen not only economic benefits, but also an atmosphere of cultural dialogue and mutual trust.
