Barcelona is seriously preparing for one of the most important matches of the Spanish championship - El Clásico. According to Spanish media, Barcelona's head coach, Hansy Flick, plans to field the team against Real Madrid in a unique, highly attacking style.
According to Diario Sport, Flick's tactical plan is far from traditional caution. The German manager wants to direct the team to a full attack, despite the opponent being strong. In his opinion, Barcelona only needs to be active in attack to win. Therefore, he is working on a scheme based on high pressing on the central line and fast moves on the flanks.
"Flick wants the team to control the ball and lock the opponent in their own field. His goal is to limit Real Madrid's quick counter-attacks and test the opponent's defense with strong pressure," the publication writes.
Although the German coach couldn't participate in the game himself (due to disqualification), he clearly defined the team's plans. He plans to make tactical changes through assistants during the game.
Sources indicate that Flick has prepared unique combinations for El Clásico. The main focus in the attack is on the Lewandowski-Yamal duo. They will have to open the opponent's defense by organizing quick attacks through the flanks. At the same time, it is planned that Kunde and Christensen will participate in dangerous standard situations.
At Barcelona, the task is to tire the opponent with quick passes and positional attacks through central midfielders. This will help break through Madrid's defense and restrict quick forwards like Mbappe and Vinicius from relegating to the rear.
Flick also gave special instructions to the team on psychological preparation through his assistants. In his opinion, not only technique or tactics, but also psychology will be decisive in "El Clásico."
