Dinamo head coach Vadim Abramov answered journalists' questions after the match against Qizilqum. After the match of the 26th round in Navoi ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of "Kyzylkum," the coach openly expressed his opinion about the game, the spirit of the team, and the refereeing.
According to Abramov, the team knew the opponent's playing style well, but the plan currently developed did not work on the field.
"We knew well that Qizilqum would focus on defense and play on counter-attacks. After opening the account for the first time, they acted quite calmly. We went ahead to equalize faster, but conceded the second goal in the counter-attack. After that, it wasn't football on the field, but playing time. They managed to maintain the result by reducing the tempo," the coach said.
The expert also responded to the question about the team's exit from the championship race:
"Nothing is clear yet. Previously, everything was in our hands, but now we have to wait for the results of others. Football is such a thing - there are unexpected turns," Abramov said.
He noted that while Dynamo dominated the ball, there were problems in creating real attacks:
"In some situations, we made the wrong decision, and sometimes the opponent blocked the path to the shot. At such a time, it was necessary to play from the wing and make more active passes. But today even this didn't work," the coach said.
When journalists asked about the goalkeeper's mistake, Abramov defended him:
"Our goalkeeper is still young, he sometimes strives to play beautifully. But in football, the result is always important, not the aesthetics. You need to play with your brain. His mistake is the result of inexperience. For me, it's not the goalkeeper's beautiful jump that matters, but his ability to catch the ball," he said.
During the conversation, the coach also commented on the refereeing:
"I've talked to the reserve referee several times, and he said everything will be alright. But the result was different. The referee said VAR will determine the extra minutes. If VAR decides, why is he running on the field? VAR has a completely different task, VAR will not interfere in extra minutes," Abramov said.
One of the fans who attended the press conference expressed a critical opinion about the team's spirit:
"Today at Dynamo, there was no desire to win. "It didn't look like anyone was fighting," he said.
Abramov did not deny such considerations:
"I understand the fans. They have come a long way, they have cared for the team. We are ashamed before them. When talking about the mood and desires of football players, it is necessary to ask the players themselves. I can't say they didn't fight, but today we didn't achieve anything," said the Dinamo head coach.
It's worth noting that after this defeat, Dinamo has significantly lost its chances in the main title race. However, according to Abramov, the team intends to fight to the end.
"It's not all over yet. We will say our word on the field until the last minute. "Every game is our test," he concluded.
