
The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, commented on the participation of Russian athlete Shaykh-Mansur Khabibulayev, who won the gold medal at the World Combat Sambo Championship held in Bishkek. In the final bout in the under 64 kg weight category, Khabibulayev confidently defeated the Uzbek athlete Oybek Soliyev, becoming a seven-time world champion.
"Our brother Shaykh-Mansur once again proved that Chechnya’s sambo school is one of the strongest in the world. His achievement is a source of pride not only for the Chechen Republic, but for all of Russia," Kadyrov wrote on his Telegram channel.
Kadyrov also expressed his gratitude to the athlete’s coaching staff and acknowledged the high level of preparation of the Uzbek wrestler. "I congratulate our champion on this great success.
