The team events of the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in judo concluded in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Uzbekistan national team performed successfully in the competition, securing a silver medal after being defeated by the Azerbaijan team in the final.
Until the final, Uzbekistan’s judokas achieved impressive results. In the semifinals, Uzbekistan defeated the Turkish team with a score of 4:3.
Notably, Irixon Qurbanboyeva (+70 kg) secured a decisive victory, leading the team to the final. In the final match, Uzbekistan's judokas faced a strong Azerbaijan national team.
Although they achieved victories in several bouts, the overall win went to the Azerbaijan team. Thus, the Uzbekistan team claimed the silver medals at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in judo.
