In Serie A Round 17, Parma hosted Fiorentina at home. Both teams played attacking football and fired plenty of shots, but the match did not produce many goals. This was reported by euro-football.ru.reports.
In the first half, Oliver Sørensen struck a volley from the left flank from around 20 metres, sending the ball just wide of the near post. In the 49th minute, Sasha Brichgi delivered a pass from the right into the penalty area: Matteo Pellegriino’s first-time effort misfired, the ball fell back to Sørensen, and he headed accurately into the left corner to open the scoring — 1:0.
Late on, Gaetano Oristanio cut in from the right and hit a low shot from 22 metres — the ball again went past the near post. Pellegriino went one-on-one with the goalkeeper but failed to finish because, during a feint, he pushed the ball too far to the left. For Fiorentina, Albert Gudmundsson struck low from 25 metres toward the left corner, but the goalkeeper leapt to parry the shot.
After this win, Parma moved up to 14th in the standings, while Fiorentina remained at the bottom.
