In the second half, the Cityzens were far more proactive. Reijnders opened the scoring in the 48th minute, and late on Cherki struck the winner to secure three crucial points. For the hosts, Hutchinson scored in the 54th minute to keep the suspense alive, but it was not enough.
Uzbekistan national team defender Abduqodir Husanov did not feature and spent the entire match on the bench.
After this win,Pep Guardiolaand his side moved to 40 points and climbed back to 1st place in the table. "Nottingham Forest" remain in the danger zone with 18 points, sitting 17th.
