Following the match between "Al-Ahli" and "Andijon" (2-0), a press conference was held with the participation of the visiting team's head coach, Samvel Babayan, who answered journalists' questions.
Samvel Babayan shared his thoughts on the match in an open and straightforward manner. He emphasized that this game had crucial significance for "Andijon."
— Unfortunately, we faced defeat in a highly important match. Had we achieved a positive result, we would have retained our chance to advance to the next stage. Frankly speaking, we played against a stronger team today. Before the match, we emphasized three key aspects: proper organization of the game, discipline, and hunger for victory. Regrettably, we could display only the latter on the field. In the other components, we could not match up equally with the opponent, — the coach stated.
At the same time, Babayan evaluated his players' efforts positively:
— Objectively speaking, the players gave their all. They did everything within their capacity on the field. Therefore, I have no complaints against them. I also congratulate "Al-Ahli" on advancing to the next stage. As for "Andijon," I am confident that the team will continue to achieve victories in the next season.
During the press conference, journalists also inquired about the end of the season for "Andijon" and the plans moving forward.
— To aim for higher goals in the next season, we must intensify our recruitment efforts. In this regard, we have already taken specific measures. Contracts have been signed with some high-caliber players, and they will represent the team in the next season. I firmly believe that the incoming players and the ongoing work will transform "Andijon" into an even stronger team. With patience, we will build a team our fans can be proud of, — Babayan said.
