Based on the results of the Uzbekistan Championships and the President’s Olympiad held in 2025, judokas’ performances were summarized by region. Using the outcomes of the six main competitions of the season, the Uzbekistan Judo Federation compiled an overall regional ranking by total medal tally.
By year-end results, judokas from Khorezm Region outperformed all rivals in both the number and quality of medals, taking first place in the ranking. This achievement is seen as clear evidence of Khorezm judo’s systematic training, effective work with youth, and consistently strong performances in competitions.
The ranking was compiled taking into account the results of the following prestigious competitions:
— Uzbekistan U23 Championship (Chirchiq);
— Uzbekistan Cadet Championship (Andijan);
— Uzbekistan Senior Championship (Bukhara);
— President’s Olympiad (Tashkent);
— Uzbekistan Youth Championship (Karshi);
— Uzbekistan Junior Cadet Championship (Karshi).
In these tournaments, representatives of Khorezm Region posted strong figures not only in total medals, but also in the share of gold and silver awards, gaining a noticeable advantage over rival regions. Experts say the long-term strategy to develop judo in the region is delivering results.
According to the Uzbekistan Judo Federation press service, this ranking will help strengthen healthy competition among regions next season, identify talented youth, and expand the national team reserve. With its 2025 results, Khorezm Region once again reinforced its position as a leading judo school in the country.
