Unai Emery apologizes for the situation regarding Harvey Elliott

Aston Villa head coach Unai Emery has apologized for the unfortunate situation surrounding midfielder Harvey Elliott, who is on loan from Liverpool. Although the 23-year-old joined the team with high expectations, he has been sidelined due to complex clauses in his contract. This is reported by Goal.com .
Harvey Elliott, who joined on a season-long loan from Liverpool last September, aimed to improve his game in the Premier League. However, he has made only nine appearances, totaling 109 minutes. This situation has caused an inexplicable stagnation in the player's professional career.
The issue stems from a clause in the loan agreement stating that if the player participates in a certain number of matches, Aston Villa is obligated to sign him permanently for £30 million. After Liverpool refused to modify this clause, a dispute arose between the clubs, which directly affected the player.
At a press conference, Unai Emery admitted that the situation is embarrassing for all parties involved. The coach stated he feels uncomfortable regarding Harvey Elliott but emphasized that clubs must fulfill their responsibilities. This season has become a wasted year for the young player's development.
