Former Zenit player Denis Ugarov made a tongue-in-cheek comment on Curaçao and Cabo Verde qualifying for the final stage of the 2026 World Cup. He shared his view in an interview with Euro-Football.Ru. This was reported by euro-football.ru. reports .
Ugarov said these teams should have played a match against the Russia national team before securing their World Cup berth. “Then we could find out their real strength and test what they’re capable of. Who will test it? Only the Russia national team,” he said.
