Conceição responded to opinions suggesting that Portugal plays better without Ronaldo, acknowledging that everyone is entitled to their own views. However, he emphasized Ronaldo's unparalleled value to the team through his past and ongoing contributions.
“Facts cannot be denied. If he continues to score regularly, he will undoubtedly bring immense benefits to the team,” Conceição's words were quoted by Al Nassr Zone.
It is worth noting that Portugal will compete in the 2026 World Cup in a group with Uzbekistan and Colombia. The third opponent in the group will be determined based on playoff results.
