Endrick aims to play as a forward for Real Madrid

Brazilian talented forward Endrick has revealed his preferred position on the pitch ahead of his return to Real Madrid this summer. The 19-year-old, who is currently on loan at French club Lyon, has clear plans for his future in Spain. This was reported by Goal.com reports.

The young forward spoke openly about his tactical outlook and how he can benefit the team. Despite strong competition at the Madrid club, the Brazilian sees his main role in the centre of attack.

“My favourite number is nine, and playing in the centre is the most comfortable for me. However, regardless of the position, I just want to get on the pitch,” Endrick said in his interview.

His versatility allows him to play in different positions, but his desire to operate as a central striker could present a selection issue for the coaching staff.

The move to the French championship has been beneficial for the player. Initially without enough playing time at Real Madrid under Xabi Alonso, Endrick has returned to his best form at Lyon.

He has contributed to 10 goals in his first 13 Ligue 1 matches, proving he is ready for top-level football.

Endrick's strong performances are also drawing the attention of other major clubs. In particular, London club Arsenal are monitoring the young Brazilian star with a view to strengthening their attacking line.

If Madrid cannot guarantee him enough playing time, a move to the Premier League cannot be ruled out.
