Robert Lewandowski to leave Barcelona in the summer transfer window

Polish striker Robert Lewandowski is preparing to say goodbye to Barcelona after the current season ends. The experienced footballer has decided to leave the Catalan club in order to take on new challenges in his career. Goal.com reports.
According to well-known journalist Guillem Balague, the 36-year-old striker's four-year spell will end this summer. Lewandowski has been the team's main force since 2022, scoring around 120 goals in all competitions.

The club's management offered the player a one-year contract extension, but the new deal included a significant pay cut and a role as a substitute. These terms did not suit the Polish star.
Italian clubs Juventus and Milan are currently holding talks to sign Lewandowski as a free agent. The U.S. club Chicago Fire has also shown interest, but the striker prefers to remain in Europe.
Barcelona has already found a suitable candidate to replace him. The Catalans have made signing Atlético striker Julián Alvarez their main target.
The Madrid club is demanding 120 million euros for the Argentine footballer.
At present, the team led by Hansi Flick is working to restore financial balance and complete new transfers. Lewandowski is aiming to take the field in the May 2 match against Osasuna and end the season with a championship title.
