A new survey conducted by Google Cloud found that nearly 90 percent of video game developers are using artificial intelligence to simplify their workflow. The survey was conducted among 615 specialists in the United States, South Korea, Norway, Finland, and Sweden.
According to the results of the study, most developers use artificial intelligence to automate repetitive and difficult tasks, which allows them to devote more time to creative work. For example, processing and optimizing content such as text, audio, code, and video is carried out faster with AI.
In recent years, the gaming industry has faced problems related to rising production costs and extended project deadlines. Therefore, many companies are turning to AI technologies to reduce costs and speed up processes.
However, the use of artificial intelligence remains a controversial issue. Concerns include job reductions, copyright problems, and lower pay for developers.
Nevertheless, 94 percent of developers believe that AI will help reduce production costs in the future. But some experts say that it is difficult to accurately measure the effectiveness of investments in this technology. In addition, the question of who owns AI-generated content remains unresolved.
