US users are mass deleting ChatGPT app

A partnership agreement between the major AI company OpenAI and the Pentagon in the US has sparked serious backlash. Following this news, American users began mass deleting the ChatGPT app from their smartphones. According to TechCrunch, the app deletion rate increased by 295 percent in one day, which is significantly higher than the usual average of 9 percent. Reports mobile-review.com.
Taking advantage of the situation, the Claude app from Anthropic, OpenAI's main competitor, reached the peak of popularity. After Anthropic announced that it would not use its technologies for military purposes, specifically for surveillance or creating autonomous weapons, the flow of users shifted dramatically. As a result, the Claude app rose to the number one spot on the App Store in the US.

According to data from analytical platforms, the number of low ratings given to the ChatGPT app has also increased several times over. Specifically, the number of one-star reviews grew by 775 percent, while five-star ratings were cut in half. Experts explain this situation by the fact that users are against the use of AI for military purposes from an ethical and security perspective.
