Leading artificial intelligence company OpenAI has officially announced its new GPT 5.4 model. This neural network is primarily designed to automate complex workflows and perform programming tasks. Developers state that the new model is significantly smarter and more efficient than its predecessors.
The new model incorporates the capabilities of GPT 5.2 and GPT 5.3 Codex. In GDPval tests, it achieved results nearly equal to or better than humans across 44 different professional fields. The model showed particularly high performance in investment analysis and computer control tasks. For instance, in a computer control test, it scored 75%, surpassing the human average of 72.4%.
Technically, GPT 5.4 has become more efficient. While previous versions loaded all tools simultaneously, the new model selects necessary functions on demand via the Tool Search system. The context window size is 1 million tokens. However, API usage prices have increased slightly: incoming tokens now cost up to $2.5, and outgoing tokens up to $15. Currently, this new technology is available via API and Codex.
