President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed an important decree on holding the 2026 Navruz national holiday in the country with high spirits and at a high level. This document aims to preserve the rich cultural heritage, ancient traditions, and national values of our people and pass them on to future generations. In the context of the large-scale reforms being implemented in our country today, the Navruz holiday serves as an important factor in further strengthening the atmosphere of mutual respect, kindness, friendship, and solidarity in society.
In accordance with the adopted decree, a special organizing committee was formed to organize the holiday events at a high level, and Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov was appointed as its chairman. The main idea of the holiday is defined by the slogan "To celebrate Navruz is to celebrate humanity!", which determines the essence of all events. It is intended that the Navruz holiday will be held in the form of a real folk festival in all cities and districts of our country, in every neighborhood.
Within the framework of the holiday program, large-scale cultural and educational events will be organized for the population. In particular, concerts promoting our national customs, handicraft exhibitions, national sports competitions, and book fairs are planned. Also, open-air kitchens where spring dishes are prepared will be launched. These events not only share the festive mood but also serve to educate the younger generation in the spirit of respect for our national traditions. In addition, large-scale landscaping and greening campaigns are scheduled in cities and neighborhoods.
The main solemn event and a large theatrical concert program dedicated to the Navruz holiday will be organized in Tashkent. It is recommended to widely cover the holiday events held in all regions of our country through mass media and convey the festive spirit to our people. The implementation and control of the decree are directly entrusted to the Prime Minister. There is no doubt that the Navruz holiday, with its ideas of kindness, renewal, and creativity, will bring joy to every home and further strengthen peace and stability in our country.
