iPhone 17 Pro outperforms Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra in DxOMark test

The famous DxOMark laboratory tested the capabilities of new flagship smartphones. According to the results, although the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has achieved significant growth compared to the previous generation, it could not outperform Apple's iPhone 17 Pro model. Reports ixbt.com.

Although the Galaxy S26 Ultra is technically similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the main camera sensor has been upgraded to 200 megapixels and equipped with an f/1.4 aperture that receives 47 percent more light. Also, the use of ALoP technology in the 5x periscopic lens has made the background blur look more natural. However, these changes caused a slight increase in shooting distance.

DxOMark experts acknowledged that the Samsung smartphone reduces noise and preserves details better in low-light conditions. Nevertheless, the iPhone 17 Pro still leads in image quality and autofocus accuracy. During the tests, some flaws in face detection and minor artifacts in portrait mode were observed on the Samsung device. In conclusion, the Apple flagship is one step ahead of its competitor in image processing and overall balance.
