Final Fantasy XIV character customization is expected to expand

Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki “Yoshi-P” Yoshida said in a recent discussion that the team is exploring new options for deeper character customization. Exactly which parameters will change has not been disclosed yet, but he emphasized that the necessary technical groundwork is already in place. This is reported by playground.ru reports .
According to Yoshida, some updates suggested by players will be taken into account in upcoming patches—specifically, there are plans to improve Explorer Mode. He also noted that by the release of patch 7.5, the Korean version will be fully available alongside the global and Chinese versions. Patch 7.5 is slated for spring 2026: it will bring the next Ultimate raid, a limited job called “Beastmaster,” and other additions. In addition, a special vendor is expected to be added where players can purchase old relic weapons—this should help many free up inventory space.
However, the 7.4 update for Final Fantasy XIV was accompanied by server issues: some players in North America were periodically disconnected from the game. Although the developers released a Christmas patch to fix errors, outages affecting the Aether, Primal, Crystal, and Dynamics data centers remain a pressing issue for the community.
Earlier, Yoshida also hinted that Final Fantasy XIV could get a version for Nintendo Switch 1/2.
